Princess Tutu fanart. Featuring...guess who? XD haha (I've been on such a kick of these two lately that you wouldn't believe it. ...Well, maybe you would.) I actually posted the original sketch for this here before (as some of you may recognize. And just recently, for whatever reason, I felt like I had to pen it in and color it. So I did.
Although it's Fakir/Ahiru, instead of shippy, for a change, it's.....'RAWR! IN YOUR FACE'? lol I love it when they fight, cause I'm weird like that. XD
I'm actually.....really, really happy with how this turned out. o.o I didn't have high hopes at first because the sketch scanned pretty crappily and I had to do a whole ton of fixing and darkening lines. But coloring went rather smoothly!
Anyway, as you can tell, they're having a fight about something. XD And getting right up in each other's faces about it. This'll probably escalate to some hair-tugging and pushing pretty soon here (though it looks like Ahiru already started with foot-mashing. hehe). I have no clue exactly WHAT they're fighting about, so feel free to use your imagination? (They'll kiss and make-out--er, make up soon.) ...Oh, and as you should expect from me by now, they look slightly older here. Not extremely so, but enough that I give them maybe a year or two? Post-series, at least~ But yeah. I had looooads of fun coloring this. :3
And as for the background, I wasn't sure what to do at first, but I didn't want to just leave it blank. So I used my fetish for conflict as a base. XD I took that word, stuck it in the middle (although you can't see it well, hence the titling of the piece) and then thought up and found all sorts of words that have to do with conflict and arranged them into a word-y background!
Anyway, I had lots of fun with this and I hope you guys enjoy it!
Originally sketched, then scanned, inked, rescanned, and colored with Adobe Photoshop 6.0.
Fakir and Ahiru are not my characters, as they belong to the wonderful Itoh Ikuko. The concept and art, however, is mine~ Do not reuse or reupload. Thank you!
ooooo, she's stepping on his foot - this is srs bzns!!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
