More Princess Tutu fanart. Of my OTP, which the love is still being given to after almost a year of discovering this amazing and awe-inspiring series. (We just got another male fan on the LJ community! XD One that actually came into the open and admitted how much he liked the series!)
Anyway, this started with the base idea of a Fakir with shorter hair, that I drew once a long time ago and modernizing clothing and things in general. The skateboard was really just a prop idea that came out of nowhere. XD; I wasn't sure what he was going to be doing with that hand, and I already half-hid the other one in his pocket, so I figured I needed to do something with it. And I couldn't figure out what he would be holding on to, but it somehow morphed into a skateboard. XD;;;;
I do think Fakir looks good with shorter, messier hair. XD ...And I have no idea what I was thinking when I drew his clothes. His shirt design changed so many times it's not even funny. That's a really badly-drawn upside-down sword, but oh well. >>; I know his hands need a lot of work, particularly the one holding up the skateboard. I tried to mimic it with my own hand, but it just looked wrong no matter what I did. XD; So...it stays like that. At least his face and hair met my expectations, even if the rest of him didn't. XD;;;
I really like how Ahiru turned out in this, though. XDDD For some reason, she fell right into the role and her clothing was really fun to design as I went along (the skirt changed once or twice, but otherwise I went with that same design). And I debated either putting her hair down or up and decided to do the latter, but style it a little to make it fun. XD It's kind of...a weird hairstyle, but I think it's cute in its own way. And that thing she's holding between two fingers in the cord of the headset she's wearing (she's kind of "borrowing" it from Fakir, as you can see the cord leads to his pocket. XD) and it's got one of those earbud things that wrap around the ears (might be hard to tell that from the picture). I had lots of fun doing her pose, too, and I think her hands turned out much better than Fakir's. XD;; Oh, and it might be really hard to tell, but she's wearing ribbons around the buns (you can sort of see the ribbon hanging down behind, I hope).
...So that's it, for now. Just one sketch. But any feedback would be most welcome and appreciated~ Thanks for taking a look! It was a fun experiment. XD And believe it or not, this took about 3-4 hours to draw out and shade. >_>
Fakir and Ahiru are not my characters. They belong to the wonderful Itoh Ikuko (who should totally make a third season. ;_
XD;;; You really should see the whole thing! It was such an awesome series! The creation process took 10 years as was said by the creator herself. XD
Thanks a lot! ^^ The girl in the picture is actually the little yellow dancing duck you would have seen in the last episode. XD I love her human form. She's adorable. And shading is fun!
Kyyyaaaa!!! This is really beautiful. ^-^ I love their outfits, hair and poses. They are always so cute together. I agree that Fakir looks quite delicious in short hair.

Thanks a lot! ^_^ I had a lot of fun sketching it out and shading it, along with designing the outfits and having a blast messing with their hair styles. XD
I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!
