Princess Tutu fanart. Fakir and Ahiru...on a baseball team? XD; haha

I'll be uploading a few sketches in the next couple days, most all into my scraps since I'm not sure which, if any that I'm going to progress with. Most of them were really practice with certain things (that I failed horribly on XD; ).

I have no idea where the random baseball theme idea came from. They don't play sports in this anime. XD; But I thought it would be fun to try an interesting pose and play with the lovely height difference between them. I don't think I nailed Fakir's pose too well. I tried to mimic the arm thing, but it was hard to figure out how to draw it. So it's probably very off. ^^; Also a sort of practice on hats. haha Oh well! Just sketching. And the crown on their outfits is symbolic of the town's name: Kinkan, when translated to English was called "Gold Crown". So that's the team name. XD

And if you're wondering why Ahiru is even shorter-looking than usual...well, have someone lean down on your head and see if you don't hunch over a bit (yes, she's supposed to look hunched over ^^; )! XD Certainly looks pleased, doesn't she?

...I have no idea why Fakir is blowing bubble-gum. XD; Random thing that I just had the urge to add, so I did. Same goes for his hair being down instead of in that ponytail of his.

Well, enjoy~ It was fun to do, anyway. ^^ I'll probably upload another sketch tomorrow. This one was actually pretty recent hough. o.O Some of my other ones will be signifcantly older.

Fakir and Ahiru are not my characters. They belong to the wonderful Itoh Ikuko. ^^

Squeeee. It's the baseball sketch. :heart: And now for a comment that actually has purpose. (Maybe.)

I've always wondered why they don't have sports at that school.... I mean, think about how much higher Duck's self esteem would be if the dance class were to run laps? (Duck: (on seventh lap) Lalala... running laps... Hi, Rue! Rue: (on second lap) SHADDUP!)

Duck looks like Pippy Longstocking with those two braids of hers. Though, I love how her hair looks angry, too. Yay for mood-hair! However, her cap kinda looks like a batting helmet... and not a baseball cap.

Fakir's pose looks fine to me, as well as the arms/hands all around. I'm just surprised he deigned to go out in public in shorts and a T-shirt. Though, it does seem somewhat impractical for him to have his hair down when playing a sport. With all that hair, you'd think he wouldn't be able to see the other players. :O_o:

You may now shoot me for commenting too many times on your fanart.

Hehe ^^ Thanks! Sorry for not replying to this sooner. The temperature dropped nearly fifty degrees here in one night and I came down with a cold, so I was spending most of my time sleeping. Anyway...

I can definitely see Ahiru as a track runner! XD And she's make a great one, too. Just keep going and going... And poor Rue would be huffing and puffing by just attempting to keep a steady, slow run. XD;

HAH! XD She does, doesn't she? I didn't even think of that. hahaha Mood hair for the win :D And the main reason her hat looks like a helmet...is because that's what I was attempting at first. XD; She was holding the bat, so I thought of putting a batting helmet on her, but it just wouldn't cooperate, so I tried to turn it into a cap and failed XD;; I guess it's a cross between? ^^;

LOL Are you kidding? Fakir dances in tights! Shorts are nothing compared to the embarrassment he should feel for the ballet apparel. XD And maybe it's not always public, but they do shows, and wear that stuff in class, so... And I definitely wasn't thinking of practical when I did this. ^^; I was merely trying many different things, pose, hair, apparel, idea-wise, and since I rarely draw him with his hair down, I thought I'd go ahead and do it. XD He might put it back before the actual game starts anyway. lol

And no problem! I appreciate the feedback. ^^ It's not great, symbolic, or complicated art by any means, but I'm glad you can find the time to spare your thoughts on it.

Eeeep. Sick. =(

XD Now I keep having this mental image of Rue and Mytho running laps, where Mytho is skipping around Rue and cheerfully saying "Isn't running laps so much fun, Rue?" and Rue is plodding along behind him muttering "When (pant pant) I can feel (pant gasp) my lungs (weaze pant) I'm going (huff puff puff) to kill you...."

It kinda looks like she's wearing a trucker hat. Now there's an interesting mental image.

But, but... wearing shorts and a T-shirt would be mainstream. As would, you know, having normal length hair. And playing sports. GASP. But Fakir is fun to draw with his hair not in that ponytail. It's just not very practical when playing sports. (Fakir: Help! I can't see due to the massive amounts of hair in my face! Rue: Sheesh, not even I have that problem.)

Your art is fun to blather about. I'm not sure whether you should take that as a compliment or not. =D?
